Underfunded emergencies
The Central Emergency Response Fund supports humanitarian response activities within underfunded emergencies. Twice a year the Emergency Relief Coordinator allocates CERF funds to selected priority countries based on needs, funding levels, risk and vulnerability.
In 2024’s first Underfunded Emergencies Round, CERF allocated US$100 million to boost poorly funded humanitarian crises.
