Regional funds
In 2024 the Emergency Relief Coordinator approved the establishment of two new Regional Humanitarian Funds – one for Latin America and the Caribbean (based in Panama, with country envelopes for Colombia and Haiti); and another for Asia-Pacific (based in Bangkok, with a regional funding envelope).
Both Funds build on the success and impact of the Regional Fund for West and Central Africa.
The Regional Humanitarian Fund for West and Central Africa is based in Dakar, Senegal, and manages country envelopes that are activated according to needs in the Sahel, including in Niger, Burkina Faso, and Mali.
